A reminder to everyone when booking a theory or driving test online that you should only do this through the official Directgov site. There are sites which come up on page 1 of Google and other search engines which charge a booking fee; these sites are not illegal, but will put you out of pocket for doing something that you can easily do yourself. If you have booked through an unofficial channel, you will find some advice on what you can do in this release from the Department for Transport:
